One in three Calgarians don’t feel they belong in their community. For people living in isolation, experiencing domestic violence, or living on a low income, opportunities to build a good life—including access to meaningful social networks, good jobs, and affordable housing—aren’t equally available. United Way works with local agency partners to build strong communities by providing vital, community-based resources that address complex issues like mental health, social isolation, domestic violence, and intergenerational trauma and help change lives in a meaningful way.
